    Dr. Piyush Mathur, MD, FCCM, FASA, FAMIA, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and an anesthesiologist–intensivist at the Cleveland Clinic. He serves as Innovation Lead and has held key leadership roles in quality, compliance, and fellowship education. Internationally recognized for his work in artificial intelligence and critical care, he focuses on generative AI and large language models. His scholarship includes publications in leading journals, three books, and multiple chapters. Co-founder of BrainX, he advances global AI collaboration. His contributions have earned multiple awards, including the 2025 AI Clinician of the Year recognition.
