Interventional Cardiology
Dr. Pradeep K. Nair, an interventional cardiologist, joined the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in 2015. A native of western PA, he graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University and earned his medical doctorate at Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Campus where he was recognized with several awards of distinction for his cardiovascular research. He went on to complete a year of an advanced endovascular interventional fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Craig Walker at the CIS in Houma, LA. He currently is Medical Director of the Vein Program for CIS.
Dr. Nair is licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He currently practices in Houma, Gray and Zachary, Louisiana where he specializes in peripheral arterial/venous disease and interventions. He is the Vice-Chairman of New Cardiovascular Horizons Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He serves Horizon's International Peripheral Group, Board of OEIS, ACC Vascular Disease Section Leadership Council, and CLI Global Society Publication Committee. He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presented and/or performed several Live Endovascular Cases at several National and International Conferences . Having a keen clinical research interest on novel interventional devices and therapies, he is dedicated to supporting the advancement of our field. He is currently PI or Sub-I in numerous National Endovascular clinical trials, and currently serves as Co-National PI for the THOR IDE Study.
