Bulent Arslan, MD, FSIR is Professor and Chair of Department of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center.
He completed his residency training and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at University of Rochester, New York.He is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center.
His research and clinical interests include embolotherapy, complex aortic, arterial and venous disease management, interventional oncology, portal hypertension. He has developed extravascular bypass procedures for arterial and venous occlusions. Also performed percutaneous caverno-caval shunt creation procedures for management of complicated portal hypertension. He created a robust PAD program at a major academic center in Chicago where majority of CLI cases are being referred for limb salvage as a second or third opinion. In addition he also built one of the busiest portal interventions program in the nation. He has published over 200 abstracts, 60 manuscripts and presented over 300 lectures in local, regional, national and international meetings. He is currently a member of Annual Meeting Committee as workshop chair and will be the annual meeting chair in 2026.
