Vascular Surgery
Dr. Misaki Kiguchi is an Associate Professor of Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and a vascular surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She also serves as Program Director of the vascular surgery training program and Director of the MedStar Health Vein Centers.
Dr. Kiguchi earned her undergraduate degree from Yale College and her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, followed by an MBA from the Yale School of Management and an MSc in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her vascular surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Her clinical and research interests focus on venous disease, including venous ulcers, deep venous pathology, and endovenous therapies. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is an invited speaker at major international vascular meetings. Dr. Kiguchi currently serves on the Board of the American Venous Forum and will serve as its Secretary beginning in 2026.
